🙌 The role

Product at Learnerbly

At Learnerbly, our Product Teams are empowered to solve problems and create products our customers love.

Practically, that means Designers are working collaboratively with Product Managers and Engineers to own a problem and go through the end-to-end development cycle of discovery and delivery. Senior Execs or Product Managers do not tell Designers and Engineers what to build. Sorry, no Feature Teams here (not sorry!)

We have a small (but mighty💪) team and we are looking to rapidly scale up to meet the demands of our customers.

We are looking for a Head of Design to join us and spearhead design at Learnerbly. You will create, steer, and deliver on the design vision for the product. You will also oversee design across the company from Marketing to Operations to People. This is a great opportunity for someone who not only wants to grow as a creator but also gets exposure to all aspects of building a company.

What you'll be getting up to:

  • Build, develop, and lead the Design Team: from identifying talent and hiring through to day-to-day coaching.
  • Collaborate with Designers and the wider team to set and evolve the design vision for the product and the company.
  • Create the design principles, processes, and systems to realise the vision and set the bar for quality.
  • Be the voice of design insider and outside of the company, sharing its work, evangelising its success, articulating its vision. And sometimes this representation means encouraging others to rethink the status quo and design a better solution.

This role will be a great fit if:

  • You are an experienced Product Designer in digital products (service design is a major plus) who has directed Design Teams before or is looking for that next level up.
  • You love working cross-functionally in a multi-disciplinary Product Team in a fast-paced startup environment.
  • You enjoy teaching design and building and coaching teams towards achieving a vision.
  • You are obsessed with solving hard problems with simple, minimal solutions.
  • You want to help us put a dent in the universe.
